Mexico--Piedras Negras (PN)

Piedras Negras is a small border town in Coahuila, Mexico across from Eagle Pass, Texas. It has a population of approx. 180,000 people of which 72% are Catholic. The primary salary per day is $4.65 USD, with primary occupations in factory and construction work. There is a lot of poverty within this community and a lot of medical needs. Additionally, there is a very large disabled and physically challenged community. Lakepointe, through the local church partner Fuente de Vida, has been able to help meet the medical needs within this community. We have also been able to reach out to the kids through the local church by using the AWANA program and Child Sponsorship Ministry.
